High Waters
by Yulia Jeltuhin, 2014
ABOUT
“High Waters” is a beautiful oil on canvas painting featuring Big Creek Park. You can tell that it had been raining heavily in Roswell, Georgia. The creek is flooded and makes this painting even softer to the eyes. The hints of yellow reflecting in the water indicate the sun will shine through the dark clouds soon. Indeed, the mixture of light blue, grey, and yellow definitely gives you that cool feeling as if you can feel the breeze touching your face. It’s as if you can hear the soft music playing in the background. You can imagine Santa’s elves sitting on a bent tree branch just waiting for the sky to clear up and for the flooded creek to dry.
